The enemies of Israel and the Jewish people are not hard to find because they come from just about every walk of life. They come from the extreme left, Hollywood, radical Islam, atheists, liberals, and even some denominations within Christendom. It could also be argued that since October 7, 2023, the Jew-hatred that was once cleverly cloaked in various politically correct garments is no longer in hiding. Our only friends seem to be from the conservative right but wait... even that seems to be changing. So, it appears that the new tsunami of antisemitic rhetoric includes the entire political spectrum. Our strongest defenders seem to be sliding on the slippery slope of antisemitism.

• Tucker Carlson invited Munther Isaac and John Rich: Let me start by saying I would not put these two guests in the same category, even though they both displayed antisemitic behaviors. Munther Isaac was invited to speak on Carlson's program on X and was introduced as a Palestinian Christian. While I know for a fact that there are many Arab Christians, calling someone a Palestinian Christian is a misnomer since Palestine is a made-up word that has come to erroneously describe a "people without a land," who, in reality, are Arabs, with Arabic culture, Arabic language and Arabic history.
Munther Isaac is the academic dean of Bethlehem Bible College in Judea and Samaria (also known as "the West Bank") and the director of Christ at the Checkpoint biennial Conference. The Conference started in 2012 in the name of Christian reconciliation in the Holy Land but has been nothing but a one-sided gathering of antisemitic pro-Palestinian spiritual leaders and theologians pointing the finger at Israel and the Jewish people in no uncertain terms.
Munther Isaac appeared on Tucker Carlson's podcast to continue to propagate the false Palestinian narrative, and Carlson seemed to agree with Mr. Isaac or was unprepared to confront the lies being shared on his show. I find it hard to believe that Tucker Carlson doesn't have an adequate research team to help him prepare and produce his show. I felt his true colors were starting to show, but I was willing to give him a pass.
Then, he invited Country music artist John Rich on his program to talk about his new song "Revelation" and speak against the pre-tribulational Rapture position. I am perfectly fine with having differing views on the Rapture and Tribulation. Still, someone needs to explain to me why John Rich had to connect John Darby to the Rothschild family by stopping in the middle of his attempt at debunking the pre-trib position and saying:"...guess who Darby was connected to, by the way?... The Rothschilds!" When anyone looking into conspiracy theories hears the name "Rothschild." they immediately connect it to banks, greed, and the Jewish world takeover. Looking at John Rich's eyes when he said "Rothschild" was very telling. What did it have to do with the pre-trib Rapture? Absolutely nothing! We should know better when the man speaks of the Mark of the Beast of Revelation (the last book of the New Testament) and tells people to look back in the Hebrew. The Old Testament (Jewish Bible) was written in Hebrew and Aramaic, while the New Testament was written in koine Greek. I want to give John Rich the benefit of the doubt, but I am not sure his Rothschild connection was so innocent. Tucker has two strikes against him, and I don't expect him to stop now. More will come from him, and he has lost my respect.

• Candace Owens on Hitler and the Holocaust: I was very impressed when I first discovered Candace Owens and listened to her online. She was a great voice for conservatism, especially as a young African-American female. She was going against the flow of her generation. I was hopeful. Then, in an unexpected turn of events, she came to the rescue of Kanye West when he spewed his antisemitic diatribes that cost him dearly in his career, rightfully so! Miss Owens–who is a personal friend of Kanye West– spoke up and defended him, claiming that whatever he said was not an attempt at starting another Holocaust. Unfortunately, there is a tragic precedent that says otherwise. When Martin Luther wrote his caustic booklet On the Jews and Their Lies, for whatever reason he did, and as damaging as it was to the Jewish community of the time and forward, he didn't plan for the Holocaust to happen. When Hitler looked back on history, he had no problem praising Luther for his diatribes and deciding to pick up where the German reformer left off and implement "the final solution to the Jewish question." Hitler even quoted Luther in Mein Kampf.
There is no doubt in my mind that, while Kanye West most likely wasn't planning a Holocaust, someone in the future will come and decide to continue and even finish what Kanye started. So, Miss Owens, be careful because words matter a great deal. At least, back then, when Candace Owens made an excuse for Kanye West by stating he wasn't starting another Holocaust, she acknowledged the reality of the first one during Nazi Germany. But today...Not so much anymore!
Recently, JNS Editor-In-Chief Jonathan Tobin exposed Candace Owens open Holocaust denial in a recent podcast, commenting on her position. She downplayed the Holocaust and the horrific experiments performed on human beings by Camp Dr. Josef Mengele, saying that if indeed he had done what he was accused of, "it would be a tremendous waste of time and supplies." She called it propaganda, going even as far as saying that the real victims were the Nazis. She continued and stated that some of these "Holocaust stories were completely absurd." Miss Owens went from friend to foe of Israel in no time at all, and this should disqualify her as the conservative voice. She needs to learn history!

Where are our friends in times of need? It used to be that we could expect animosity from our known enemies, as I listed them earlier, but now, the last beacon of hope in philo-Semitism (the opposite of antisemitism) is starting to fall apart. It is becoming increasingly more complicated for Jewish people to know who their friends are, even within the conservative camp. I cannot help but be reminded of God's promise that eventually, the whole world will turn against Israel and the Jews (Zechariah 12:3). Still, I am also comforted by the fact that none of Israel's enemies will ever go unpunished (Zechariah 12:9.) If you are part of this shrinking group of people who care about Israel and the Jewish people, please let your Jewish friend, neighbor or co-worker know as soon as possible. They need to know we exist...for such a time as this!
