From the Sea to the River, Israel is Forever!

Since October 7, the motto "From the River to the Sea Palestine Shall be Free" has been heard on US university campuses, the streets of America and beyond, and all over the internet. Most people think that this is a call for justice in "Palestine." Our younger generation thinks that chanting that motto is a great move for social justice. To be fair, there are quite a few of our young people chanting, who could not identify which river or which sea, not to mention trying to locate Israel on a world map. But let's focus on those who know exactly what they are saying.

The statement describes the land mass between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, which can only describe Israel. So, for Palestine to be free, Israel has to be gone...No more Jews. There is no other way to understand that statement. This is not an invitation to a two-state solution or anything else. It is a cry for the annihilation of Israel, period. In other words, this is a euphemism for genocide!

Most people today have the wrong understanding of the terms Israel and Palestine, and this leads to much confusion and allegiance to the wrong group of people based on a false narrative. The first thing to understand is that biblically speaking, Israel can mean the Jewish people or the Land of Israel. When referring to the geographical boundaries of a piece of land given by God to Abraham and his descendants, it is called by many names, including “Israel,” “Land of Promise,” "The Land," “Canaan,” “the United Kingdom,” and “the Divided Kingdom.”

The same Abrahamic Covenant from which we draw the definition of a Jew also tells us that God has promised land to the Jewish people with some very detailed boundaries. In Genesis 12:7, God is brief and to the point: "The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants, I will give this land.” He repeats that promise in Genesis 13:15 and gives the details in Genesis 15:18-21: "On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your descendants I have given this land, From the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates: the Kenite and the Kenizzite and the Kadmonite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Rephaim and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Girgashite and the Jebusite.”

Since the Abrahamic Covenant is unconditional AND eternal, that promise remains intact. Following the biblical boundaries of Genesis 15, it is clear that Israel’s biblical makeup has yet to be fulfilled. The current borders based on 1948, 1967, or any other “agreements” come nowhere near God’s promised real estate boundaries found in the Bible. Based on these biblical facts, I disagree with the term “Occupied Territories” and prefer to call them the “Disputed Territories.” Israel today is about the size of New Jersey, and when its full borders are fulfilled in the Messianic kingdom, it will be as large as twice the state of Texas, and you are not an "occupier" or "colonizer" if the land was given to you in the first place.

Biblically speaking, Israel is also the name given to Jacob after he wrestled with the Angel of the Lord at Bethel; and, incidentally, this passage in Genesis 35:9-12, is another place where God re-confirms His promise of a Jewish people and their own land: "Then God appeared to Jacob again when he came from Paddan-aram, and He blessed him. God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; You shall no longer be called Jacob, But Israel shall be your name.” Thus He called him Israel. God also said to him, “I am God Almighty; Be fruitful and multiply; A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, And kings shall come forth from you. “The land which I gave to Abraham and Isaac, I will give it to you, And I will give the land to your descendants after you." (The same promise is also reflected in Genesis 32:28, 1 Kings 18:31 and 2 Kings 17:34.)

Since its modern rebirth as a State, Israel as a piece of land has become a bone of contention for the whole world. The modern Palestinian people, in particular, claim historical ownership of that land, reaching back before the Jewish people. It is currently claimed that the Palestinian people ARE an ethnic group, something that is no longer disputed by the vast majority of the world, but is it true? Is it based on facts or fiction? Further investigation is needed to establish the meaning of the word “Palestine” and to assess the validity of such a claim.

To better understand the true meaning of Palestine, we must go back in history quite a bit earlier than the mid-1960s. While the exact origin of the name Palestine is still debated, there are aspects of the word’s meaning that we can surely know. It possibly once described a people group known as the Philistines, but that people group was in no way connected to the current era Palestinians – not ethnically, not linguistically, not historically, and not culturally. In A.D. 132, a Jewish revolt took place against the Romans. It was known as the Bar Kochba revolt (Bar Kochba was a false messiah in Israel at the time ). Things didn't end well for the Jewish people, and in addition to a bloodbath of gigantic proportions, Israel was renamed Palaestina by the Romans. The rebranding of the Land with the name of their enemies, the Philistines, was an effort to undermine Jewish history and humiliate the Jewish people further. Additionally, at the time, Jerusalem was also renamed Aelia Capitolina by Emperor Hadrian. The name Palestine stuck and continued to be used after that time. It is nowhere in the Bible except for the maps section at the end of each Bible, but, of course, these are not inspired.

When the British were in control from 1922 to 1948, the area was governed under what was known as the British Mandate Palestine. In the original text of the Mandate itself, dated 1922, we can read: "Whereas recognition has thereby been given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country."

Let's look at article 4 of that Mandate. We also find two words in the same passage that any modern-day Palestinian would be hard-pressed to associate in a positive light: Palestinian and Zionist. Yet, in the context of the original Mandate, it was to the current leaders of the Zionist movement that the administration and government of Palestine were entrusted, as we can read: "An appropriate Jewish agency shall be recognized as a public body for the purpose of advising and cooperating with the Administration of Palestine in such economic, social and other matters as may affect the establishment of the Jewish national home and the interests of the Jewish population in Palestine, and, subject always to the control of the Administration to assist and take part in the development of the country. The Zionist organization, so long as its organization and constitution are in the opinion of the Mandatory appropriate, shall be recognized as such agency. It shall take steps in consultation with His Britannic Majesty’s Government to secure the cooperation of all Jews who are willing to assist in the establishment of the Jewish national home."

So, until the early 1960s, Palestine was always synonymous with Israel, the Jewish State. Arabs in neighboring countries never called themselves Palestinians but rather Syrians, Lebanese, Jordanians, Egyptians, etc. Most Arabs in the early 1900s would have argued that Palestinian Arabs were simply Syrians, as Mitchell Bard documents in his well-researched book Myths and Facts: A Guide to the Arab-Israeli Conflict. He writes: "Prior to partition, Palestinian Arabs did not view themselves as having a separate identity. When the First Congress of Muslim-Christian Associations met in Jerusalem in February 1919 to choose Palestinian representatives for the Paris Peace Conference, the following resolution was adopted: We consider Palestine as part of Arab Syria, as it has never been separated from it at any time. We are connected with it by national, religious, linguistic, natural, economic and geographical bonds."

While God uses different names for the Land of Israel, it is never called Palestine even once. In fact, even the Qur’an (Sura Maida 5:21-22) mentions the “Holy Land” in the context of Moses and the spies preparing to enter the Land of Canaan; but never does it call it Palestine. Jerusalem isn’t even mentioned by name in the Qur’an.

Today, nobody questions the etymology of the word "Palestine," and that is a shame. What is really sad is that the Arab refugees who were forced by their own countries to remain in Israel post-1948 ended up having children who then had children. These innocent subsequent generations have been labeled Palestinians for political gain. They are real people who deserve a real home and a decent life. Backtracking to pre-1948 "Palestine" would connect them all with one or another of the neighboring Arab countries, but that doesn't serve the world's current agenda of Israeli occupation, colonization and ethnic cleansing, does it?

From God's perspective, Israel is eternal and given to the Jewish people by divine decree. This never implies that "Palestinians" are lesser people, but simply that they are not the natives of that land. So, to be fair, instead of chanting, "From the River to the Sea, Palestine shall be free," we ought to affirm, "From the Sea to the River, Israel is FOREVER!"

Yom HaShoah 2024, Don't Just Remember, Pay Attention!

Every year, in an sober display of respect, the whole country of Israel pauses for two minutes at 10:00 AM on the 27th of Nisan. People pause wherever they are, including some stopping their cars on the highway, getting out, and joining the national moment of silence to remember the six million victims of the greatest tragedy in Jewish history. The day is known as Yom HaShoah or Yom HaZikaron laShoah ve-laG'vurah (Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day.) It started in 1951 and became an official observance as a law passed by the Knesset in 1959.

For the past two decades, I have tried to expose people to this important day and have written many articles to bring people's attention to it. I have increasingly felt pressure from people of all ages and walks of life, regularly reminding me that I talk too much about the Holocaust and that I dwell too much on an event of the past that needs to be left alone because it cannot be explained. I have also noticed the increasing belief–especially in our younger generation–that the Holocaust was exaggerated or inflated as if to help with the rebirth of Israel as a modern state. Then you also have those who claim that the Holocaust never happened. In short, I have often been accused of overreaction...Then, October 7, 2023, happened!

Hamas' terrorist attack on Israel claimed the lives of 1200 innocent victims and led to 240 hostages being taken to Gaza (half of them still in captivity). It was THE HIGHEST JEWISH DEATH TOLL SINCE THE HOLOCAUST. Since then, antisemitism has gone through the roof with absolutely no sign of slowing down. The recent US Campus uprising that is nearing the level of an intifada, gives me reasons to be very concerned. Signs reading "Go Back to Poland" or "Final Solution" are terrifying reminders of the past. How is it possible for the current generation to make such statements against the Jews and for most of the world to once again become bysatnders? Here are a few facts we need to remember as we observe Yom HaShoah 2024.

• The Holocaust didn't happen in a vacuum: It was a slow progression of anti-Jewish sentiment that started as theological anti-Judaism with no animosity. In the words of author and historian Raul Hilberg, “The missionaries of Christianity had said in effect: You have no right to live among us as Jews. The secular rulers who followed had proclaimed: You have no right to live among us. The German Nazis at last decreed: You have no right to live.” It's 2024, and we are back at step two when Jews are told to go away. Step three is next...Pay attention!

• The Holocaust officially started on the night of Kristallnacht (November 9-10, 1938.) While the casualties were less than 200, the destruction of businesses and synagogues was massive. Businesses were marked as Jewish with big white stars of David painted on facades. The goal was to identify where the Jews were for easier location and persecution. Fast forward to 2023. Soon after October 7, in Paris and its suburbs, blue stars of David were stenciled on Jewish properties to, again, identify where the Jews live. Additionally, from the US Campus violence, we have also seen private information about Jewish professors published by pro-Hamas protesters. It recently also happened on a larger scale in Australia and as part of a 23andMe data breach that took place just before the Hamas attack. Jewish people are being located...Pay attention!

• The Holocaust was facilitated by the sending of Jews into ghettos: Once the various European Jewish communities were identified, the next step was to gather them within controlled areas where they became confined 24/7 with very little room to move freely in and out. This was the short era of the Ghettos. They started to pop up all over Eastern Europe with the most infamous ones in Lodz and Warsaw. Originally, the Jewish people were told that they were gathered and grouped together in ghettos "for their own safety", but in reality, they were being temporarily corralled before being shoved in cattle cars on their way to the death camps. This all was committed by a group of people considered one of the most educated and cultured countries in Europe at the time. As a result of the Campus violence, Jewish students and faculty have been asked to go home and finish school online "for their own safety." How long before it is no longer safe for Jews to even live in their own homes? Pay attention!

As we remember the victims of the Holocaust and we continue to pray for the families of the victims and the hostages of Oct. 7, We must also pay attention. When the Nazis started the death factories, noboby believed that civilized people would be capable of such atrocities, and they kept it very much a secret as long and as well as they could.

Today, the enemies of the Jews in the land of Israel and in the diaspora are rallying behind the motto "Final Solution." Some kids don't even know what it means, but plenty of people do, and we have no reason to believe that they don't mean what they are saying. If there was ever a time for Christians to unite and redeem the past, it is today!

The Protocols of Zion Through the Lens of the New Apostolic Reformation.

Who would have thought that the 120-year-old forgery known as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion would be revived after being repackaged into an acceptable ideology for Christians? The connection is far from what any of us would expect. First, let's look briefly at the history of the Protocols.

If we were to select one pamphlet that could be considered the most damaging to the Jewish people on a global scale, The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion would take first place. It has been debunked a hundred years ago, but it is still published as truth in many parts of the world. Elie Wiesel once said, “If ever a piece of writing could produce mass hatred, it is this one. . . . This book is about lies and slander."

They were first published in 1905 in their current format by Russian mystic Sergei Nilus (1862-1929.) They are supposed to be either the minutes of secret meetings of a select group of Jewish leaders plotting to take over the world and destroy Christianity, the verbatim text of a speech delivered to the group by its leader, or even the minutes of the first Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland in 1897. The elders were meeting in an undisclosed location at an unspecified date to discuss how to control the press, the banks, the government, the arts, and religion.

In the early 1920s, and for about a year and a half, they were also published by Henry Ford in his antisemitic newspaper, The Dearborn Independent, distributed through his car dealerships under the title The International Jew. Ford was sued for libel and had to issue a statement of apology and pull all copies out of distribution. The damage was done, and the Protocols continued to be printed and distributed on a global scale, eventually becoming very popular in Muslim countries. Egyptian President Gamal Abel Nasser (1918-1970) and Saudi Arabia King Faisal (1906-1975) became big fans of the booklet, even after it became clear that it was a complete forgery. In 2024, they still strive in many parts of the world.

Their main weakness stems from the many contradictions attached to their origins. Binjamin Segel summarizes A Lie and a Libel, “To bring into harmony all the various, contradictory assertions, there is only one thing left for us to do. We must accept all of them as true. Just as Homer was said to have been born in seven Greek cities simultaneously, so Nilus translated the Protocols from the French and the Hebrew simultaneously. They originated at the Basel Zionist Congress of 1897 and, at the same time, in the lecture notes of Paris students. They were stolen by a noblewoman of Tchernigov from a high Masonic dignitary and, at the same time, by the dignitary’s wife or lover. This lady gave it to Nilus's friend, Sukhotin, who simultaneously appropriated it from an extensive book of protocols or lecture notes that he found hidden in an iron chest at Zionist headquarters in France, but also in Alsace and in Switzerland. They were also stolen from Hertzl's house in Vienna and the secret vault of the Mizraim lodge. They were delivered to Nilus in 1897 by a Russian spy in equally by Sukhotin in 1901. At the same time the French translation of a Hebrew original was sent from Paris by Rashkovsky to the Russian interior ministry in 1897 and then delivered to Nilus.

The Protocols are pure evil. They all come from Satan, the master of lies (Zechariah 3:1-2; 1 Peter 5:8-9; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). He has the ability and desire to make the irrational look and sound rational. Ignoring that Satan is behind all aspects of antisemitism is blinding those who want to fight the oldest hatred. We cannot fight antisemitism if we do not understand that we are in a spiritual battle. This is why my definition of antisemitism includes the words “irrational” and “satanic.” This is all part of Satan’s grand scheme to destroy the Jewish people or turn them against Yeshua and Christianity so that they will not be able to call on Yeshua (Zechariah 12:10) and corporately come to a saving knowledge of their Messiah (Zechariah 13:8-9.)

As if this weren't bad enough, there is another dimension to this hoax that has now infiltrated the Christian Church. It is known as the New Apostolic Reformation or NAR. It is very similar to Dominionism or Kingdom Now Theology. It is a belief that Christians, by their actions, can bring on the Kingdom of God and usher in the Second Coming of Yeshua, in a sense, helping God to bring His own kingdom. In reality, only Israel can usher the Second Coming by crying out Baruch Haba Bashem Adonai, which means "blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." (Matthew 23:37-40; Zechariah 12:10.) At the Second Coming, Yeshua will inaugurate His kingdom, not before, not after, and certainly not with our help.

Now, most people might not make the connection right away or even at all. The NAR is a theological movement combining aspects of several denominations along with what is known as the "Seven Mountain Mandate." The mandate promotes the idea that there are seven aspects of modern society that Christians should do their best to influence, and they are as follows: family, religion, education, media, arts & entertainment, business, and government. The movement originated in the 1970s but saw more popularity in the 1990s when it was heavily promoted by false teacher C. Peter Wagner. It is based on the existence of modern-day apostles, assuming that apostles can still be appointed by God today. Acts 1:21–22 is very clear in that for a man to be an apostle, he had to have been a member of the original disciples of Yeshua from the baptism of John to Yeshua's ascension. That would clearly disqualify the gift of apostleship for Paul, but there was another group of apostles who had to have seen the resurrected Messiah. Paul qualified for the second kind (1 Corinthians 9:1.) Both groups comprised early believers during the critical time of the birth of the Church and are no longer needed today.

What I find fascinating, though, is the fact that the concept of global takeover by Jews could be the reason for so much antisemitism for the last 120 years, even though it is a hoax. Yet, the same principle, cloaked in Christian apostleship, became one of the fastest "Christian movements" of the 21st century. This is another case of a double standard applied to the Jewish people and Israel.

So, as it pertains to the Jewish people, the Protocols are a lie that has led to much blood being shed and that continues to be propagated to this day. As it pertains to the evangelical Church, The Seven Mountains Mandate is a deception that is leading people away from the simplicity of the Gospel of Grace. Both the Protocols and the Seven Mountains of Influence of the NAR are from the enemy of God, but only Satan can use the same lies to hurt the Jews on the one hand and promote a new flavor of fake Christianity on the other hand. The enemy is very creative indeed!

Are They Building the Next Jewish Ghetto?

Antisemitic demonstrations have been erupting all over the world since October 7, 2023, but nothing like what has been taking place on US university campuses. Columbia University seems to be leading the pack in what are some of the most violent antisemitic protests. These are very reminiscent of the BLM and Antifa protests, and that is because they are probably the same kids marching and chanting, but it went from BLM to PLM (P for Palestine.)
It really doesn't take long to see that these protests are not spontaneous or founded on any truth. Many of the campuses are occupied by a group of people who are all sleeping in similar tents. Did they call each other in the morning and ask, "What color is your tent today?" Maybe somebody bought them the tents and the printed signs. Maybe they are funded by people with deep pockets.
Yet, this is not what worries me the most about this new wave of entitled youngsters speaking up against a conflict they understand nothing about. Their ignorance is only surpassed by their arrogance, as they are disturbing the flow of traffic and normal business around the United States. This is annoying, and frankly, it saddens me about America's fate if we are left under the leadership of this coming generation.
What worries me the most is something that most people are not noticing. The Jewish students are being redirected "for their own safety." They are being told to go home and stay home. Several schools have already told students to finish their semester online. Now, they are starting to cancel graduation ceremonies, as they did at USC. Let me bring some perspective to all this.
In 1941, my Jewish father lived in Paris. He was only 16 years old, and he lived with his parents in the 13th district of Paris. I remember him telling me how his Jewish father, who had fought in the Great War of 1914-1918, was asked to turn in his bicycle to the local police station. As a citizen in good standing, he did, and so did tens of thousands of Jews. Now, the Jews were stuck at home with no mode of transportation, but maybe the underground Metro railway, as long as they wore their yellow star patch and only used the last car of the train.
Jews were stuck at home "for their own safety," but they could still connect with the outside world because most people owned a transistor radio back in those days. The Allies were broadcasting from London, and people found ways to communicate. So, naturally, the next items to be confiscated were the transistor radios. My paternal grandfather, again, as a peaceful French citizen–who also happened to be Jewish–brought his radio set to the local police station. Now, the Jews couldn't move freely, and not very far if they did, because of the curfews. Additionally, as they were stuck at home, they had no way to be connected with the outside world and the Allied forces. This was happening all over Europe.
The next step was unexpected. The Jewish people were –slowly at first–sent to controlled communities where they had to live 24/7, behind walls, with very few opportunities for movement in and out. The living conditions quickly degraded. Food became scarce and illnesses ran rampant. These places were called ghettos. They were all over Europe, and they were the last steps before the trains leading to the death camps.
The Jewish people of Europe COMPLIED with the authorities because they believed that their safety was in jeopardy. At first, not one Jew believed that the evil of the Holocaust could be possible. Eventually, they believed, but for many European Jews, it was too late.
US university campuses are being invaded by students (and other people as well) chanting "Final Solution", "From the River to the Sea, Palestine Shall be free", "Go back to Poland", "Next Al-Qassam's Target", "Burn Tel Aviv to the Ground." In some cases, personal information about Israeli and Jewish professors was passed on to pro-Hamas supporters.
Alan Dershowitz explains: "During recent protests in New York, there were calls to repeat the barbarity of October 7 "a thousand times." There were shouts of "We are Hamas", "Death to America", "Burn Tel Aviv to the ground", "Israel go to hell" and "Jews to back to Poland." The chant of "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" is pervasive. Free of what? Free of Jews. The goal is to make all of Israel Judenrein – ethnically cleansed of all Jews. One never sees a sign calling for a two-state solution or for peace between Israel and the Palestinians. These are not the goals. What is demanded is the end of any Jewish presence in the Middle East."
When asked what they are protesting for, many students are unable to articulate a reason, but they just know that the "Jews are the problem." Consider this: 1/3 of all Gen-Zs do not believe that Israel has the right to exist. They have been so indoctrinated in universities and colleges. On social networks, #FreePalestine has over 31 billion posts, while #standwithIsrael has only 590 million (50 times less.) Where. are the voices? Complacency is complicity!
This recent eruption of violence was not spontaneous; it was organized and well-funded. It is eerily reminiscent of the BLM riots of a few years ago, but this time, it's against the Jews, so who knows how long it will last and how far it will get? I do not know what it will take for the Jewish people outside of Israel, and especially in America, to realize that they are in grave danger.
I keep begging Christians to get involved in rescuing and protecting Jewish people as things are getting worse so that they can "Redeem the Past," and I will keep being a watchman for my people, but today, it is my people I am begging: "When people make threats about killing us, please believe them, because that is exactly what they want to do." A new ghetto is being organized slowly but surely. Just remember that the last time we saw ghettos popping up all over Europe, it was already too late for the Jews!

When Did Jews Use Christian Blood for Passover?

During the season of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and Passover, I am always reminded of the accusation that Jews, over the millennia, have used the blood of Christian children to make the matzah (unleavened bread) for Passover. This accusation is known as the "Blood Accusation" or "Blood Libel." It is, of course, a false allegation, but this hasn't stopped people from accusing Jews through the ages, and it has led to thousands of deaths.

The idea is that Jewish people murder young Christian children during the time of Passover, drain them of their blood, and use it to make unleavened bread. Passover often takes place around the time of Resurrection Sunday (Easter) and the Blood Libel can also be reinforced with the other lie about the Jewish people, the accusation of killing Christ or deicide (the killing of God.)

Biblically speaking, the Jewish people were to refrain from consuming blood, so much so that God made it very clear to them on several occasions (Genesis 9:4; Leviticus 7:26, 17:14; Deuteronomy 12:6, 15:23; Acts 15:20, 28-29.) It was a grave sin to consume blood. The children of Israel had a firm order from God, punishable by death, as in Leviticus 17:14, “For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, ‘You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off." The practice has continued through the ages, and one of the basic principles of kosher meat in contemporary Judaism is to drain the meat of all its blood before consumption.

So, when did it start in Jewish history? Like many of the false accusations, it started during the Middle Ages in Europe and has grown ever since. The first case on record was in 1144 in Norwich, England. When I say the case, I need to clarify that this is the first time that an accusation was made about the Jewish community, although there was absolutely no proof to make such an accusation.

A young child, known today as William of Norwich, died of a violent death (allegedly crucified by Jews on Easter Friday) during Holy Week in Norwich, England. The accusation was made by one single Benedictine monk, Thomas of Mommouth, who had claimed to have talked to some of the people in 1150 who witnessed the event. In other words, this was a second-hand story allegedly received by one monk six years after the alleged date of the murder that ignited the Blood Libel, occasionally still blazing across the globe today. This is so irrational, but that is the weapon of Satan to transform the irrational into the rational and make people believe it and go after the Jews.

The most recent book on the topic was Pasqua di Sangue (Passovers of Blood) by Ariel Toaff, published in His native Italian in 2007 and translated into English in 2016. That is 872 years after the death of William of Norwich. In his book, Ariel Toaff claims that the use of blood for Passover was a regular thing in Jewish communities, and it is very damaging to judeo/Christian relations. It should not come as a surprise, then, when we hear of people in the Middle East accusing Jews of the same crime today, as was the case in 2014, as reported in Time of Israel, “Israel is targeting the Palestinians… I would just like to remind you of the ruling by the Israeli rabbis, who have instructed the soldiers to knead the [dough for] the bread that the Jews eat with the blood of Arab and Palestinian children.” The old canard lives on, as irrational as ever and as believable as ever by those who loathe the Jews and seek their complete destruction.

If we want to connect Passover to blood, we can actually do it without too much difficulty, but it is not the blood of Christian children, but the blood of the Passover Lamb, sacrificed by each Jewish family after they came out of the Egyptian captivity and experienced the first Passover as retold in Exodus 12, and especially verses 21-22, "Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Bring out and take for yourselves lambs according to your families and slaughter the Passover lamb. And you shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and touch some of the blood that is in the basin to the lintel and the two doorposts; and none of you shall go outside the doorway of his house until morning."

The blood of the lamb was to be applied to the doorposts and lintel of the Jewish homes where the families were securely inside, and the destroyer (angel of death) would smite the Egyptians and preserve the Jewish people. Even back then, there was no sign of any blood consumption by anyone whatsoever.

Taking this biblical story to its perfect fulfillment, we must first look at the purpose of the Passover lamb for the Jewish people, and the true meaning of "life is in the blood" comes to life. But beyond this, we can also look at the ultimate Lamb of God, Yeshua of Nazareth, who sacrificed His own life to pay for the sins of all people just like John the Baptist cried out, "behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" (John1:29.)" If we are to talk about blood during the Feast of Pesach (Passover), we'd better talk about the blood of Yeshua shed on the Cross for the salvation of all mankind. That is the only blood worth mentioning and it is not the blood of Christians, but the blood of Christ!

Beware, Antisemitism Goes Much Deeper Than You Realize!

At the root of the word antisemitism is the word "Semite," and the Semites were the descendants of Shem, one of Noah's three sons. Genesis 6:10 tells us, "And Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth." The Semites were the ancestors of both the Jews and the Arabs. If someone is of Semitic descent, it means that they have either Jewish or Arab lineage. It is worth to note that when the word is used as the compound word, "antisemitic," it never includes the Arabs but just the Jews.

The definition that I have arrived at, after more than two decades in that field, is as follows:" Antisemitism is the irrational and demonic hatred of Israel and the Jewish people, characterized by thoughts, words, and/or deeds against them." It was satisfactory to me for quite a long time until a few years ago, when I decided to add two words that have become critical to that definition: irrational and demonic.

In all the volumes I own on that topic (more than 400), I have found almost no scholar or theologian mentioning a spiritual component to antisemitism. I have learned much over the years about the history, geography, sociology, and morphing of the oldest hatred, but I extremely rarely see the spiritual aspect of it all being addressed. Yet, we have to recognize that antisemitism is very irrational, and that is because it is from Satan himself.

It is actually not that complicated. I believe that Satan adheres to the pre-tribulational, premillennial view of the end times. He knows the Bible better than most of us, and as a result, he is well aware that, at the end of the tribulation, when surviving Israel calls upon Yeshua, the Messiah returns with the Saints, who would've been raptured seven years prior, and this is pretty much the end of Satan's career. Yes, my friend, Yeshua will not return until Israel calls upon him, according to Zechariah 12:10: “And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.."

At that point, Satan's career is over, and as I have mentioned before, he really doesn't care for his retirement plan. Simply put, Satan will do everything he can to prevent Yeshua from returning, and since he understands that it is hinging around Israel calling on the Messiah, Satan has worked overtime to destroy the Jews and turn the Church against them. It is fair to say that he has done a lot of damage toward that goal so far, but we would be naive to believe that antisemitism only affects Israel and the Jews.

Antisemitism is now crossing all borders. I believe that not only does antisemitism affect the Jewish people globally, but it is also becoming a threat to the friends and supporters of the Jewish people and of Israel.

It used to be that antisemitism affected Jewish people in Israel and abroad. In fact, prior to 1948, it only affected Jewish people in the Diaspora, but soon after the creation of the modern state of Israel, the actions of Israel became, by proxy, the actions of all Jews across the globe. Today, no Jew is exempt from the danger of global antisemitism, even though they might be removed from whatever Israel is accused of.

But it goes much deeper than a global hunt on the Jews. If you support Jewish people or display any visible sign of support for Israel, such as signs, flags, or written statements, you now become a target. In the eyes of the antisemites, you have chosen sides, and since you support the "oppressor," you have become a guilty co-perpetrator of crimes against humanity, oppression, apartheid, occupation, and genocide. Incidentally, these accusations are the very actions of the enemies of Israel, and yet, Israel is being blamed for it all. How irrational and demonic is that? Jewish historian Bat Ye'Or writes: "Defamatory terms such as 'settlers', 'occupiers', 'Nazis' and 'occupied Palestinian territories' project a demonic character onto Israelis that evokes the anti-Jewish verbal violence of the Nazis." We truly are in a repeat of the 1930s and 40s.

While I thought it couldn't get any worse, I was corrected a few days ago when I found out what had happened at Cambridge University in England. A pro-Palestinian group slashed and spray-painted a century-old priceless painting of Lord Balfour. The red paint was supposed to be a symbol of the "genocide" committed by Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza. Lord Balfour was the British statesman who penned the now-famous Balfour Declaration in 1917 while serving as foreign secretary, giving the momentum for the birth of the modern state of Israel. So, naturally, in the eyes of those who hate Israel and the Jews, the painting had to go!

So, this is how delusional antisemitism has become. You no longer need to be Jewish, Israeli, a Christian Zionist or a supporter of anything Jewish to be a target. Nobody cares about the artist who created the painting. P.A. De Laszlo was a British artist from Hungary who was famous for painting famous world leaders. Incidentally, he also painted a portrait of dictator Benito Mussolini, but apparently, that painting is safe because everybody knows that the crimes of Mussolini don't even come close to those of Israel against the Palestinians, Right? Seriously, how much history needs to be rewritten before the world realizes that George Orwell's 1984 novel is no longer fiction?

What will the destruction of art accomplish except to bring the world one step closer to a canceled culture and a revised history? When we allow people to sterilize any historical record they disagree with, we are giving more power to those who want to destroy the people they feel are in the way of their neo-aryan ideology. If you think that this is only related to Israel and the Jewish people, think again. If the Jewish people are indeed the canaries in the coal mine of civilization, the bird has died and no one is paying attention!

The Prophetic Significance of the Hamas/Israel War

On October 7, 2023, Hamas literally broke a ceasefire that had been in effect since 2005, when they sent terrorists across to Israel and murdered 1,200 innocent civilians and took over 240 hostages (several of them also murdered since that initial date.) On October 7, Hamas had declared war on Israel. Within a few hours, Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu declared: “We didn’t start this war, but we will finish it!”

The war is ongoing, and many Bible students are wondering if it has any prophetic significance. Is it connected to any Bible events that are predicted for the future? Is it the war of Psalm 83? Is it the war of Gog and Magog? Is it the beginning of the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, also known as the Tribulation? Maybe it is also connected to the events described in Zechariah 12. Let’s look at all four possibilities.

Is It the War of Psalm 83?

Psalm 83 was written by Asaph and is a clear example of the hatred that the enemies of Israel have for the Jewish land. Verse 4 literally reads like a news headline: “They have said, ‘Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of Israel be remembered no more.’

Further down into the Psalm, we are given a list of the ten nations that are “conspiring” against Israel. Incidentally, they also conspire against the God of Israel according to verse 5: “For they have conspired together with one heart; Against You they cut a covenant.” So, keep in mind that you cannot hate the Jews and love God.

The ten nations are found in verses 6-8, “The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites; Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assyria also has joined with them.

In modern times, these ten nations are divided as follows: Jordan (Edom, Moab, Ammon), Saudi Arabia (Ishmaelites), Egypt (Hagarenes, Amalek), Lebanon (Gebal, Tyre), The Gaza Strip (Philistia), Iraq and Syria (Assyria.)

Two of these countries, Egypt and Jordan, have official peace treaties with Israel and are currently not a threat to the safety of the Jewish people. Additionally, there has never been a conspiracy of all ten countries in the history of mankind.

Another way to look at Asaph’s lament is to see it as a literary device he used to express to his God that everywhere he looks, the Jews have enemies. It is akin to someone saying, “The whole world is against me” when many negative things simultaneously happen to that person. It is very likely that the war of Psalm 83 isn’t really a war to start with.

Is It the War of God and Magog?

The war of Gog and Magog is also a very debated topic among Bible students. Ezekiel chapters 36-39 provide much information on end times. Chapters 36 and 37 speak of the regathering of the Jewish people into the land, first in unbelief (36) and then, as they are being regenerated (37), with that beautiful passage about the Valley of Dry Bones.

Ezekiel 38:1-7 lists ten proper names for the reader. Gog (a person), Magog (former Soviet Union), Rosh (Russia), Meshech and Tubal (Turkey), Persia (Iran), Ethiopia (Sudan), Put (Libya), Gomer (Central Turkey), Beth-Togarmah (Turkey).

This is a real war and can probably be described as one of the greatest existential threats that modern Israel will know in the future. Furthermore, in Ezekiel 38:8, 11 and 14, we are told that the battle will take place while Israel is at rest and at peace, something that is clearly not the case currently, especially since October 7, 2023.

Ezekiel 38:11 and you will say, ‘I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will go against those who are at rest, that live securely, all of them living without walls and having no bars or gates.

A preferred view for Gog and Magog would be after Israel has signed a peace treaty with the Antichrist, something that will indicate the starting point of the seven-year Great Tribulation. At that point, Israel will be at peace–albeit false–for the first three and a half years of the seven-year Tribulation. This is also in line with the prophecies of Daniel 9. Things are moving very fast in the Middle East right now and many events take place unexpectedly, but we are not in the midst of Gog and Magog.

Is It the Start of the Great Tribulation?

It is no secret that I adhere to a premillennial, pre-tribulational view of the end times, with the next event on the prophetic clock being the dateless, signless Rapture. Regardless of one’s view of the Rapture, serious students of the Bible agree that what starts the Tribulation is the signing of a peace treaty between the Antichrist and Israel, and this hasn’t happened quite yet.

Simply put, the current situation in Israel has not started the Tribulation. Incidentally, nowhere in the Bible do we find even one verse telling us that everything will be fine for believers all the way to the start of the Tribulation. Things can and probably will get worse before they get better, and eventually, the Tribulation will start.

Is It Connected to the events of Zechariah 12?

The prophet Zechariah sheds more light on the end times. He tells us that in the end, Jerusalem will be at risk:

Zechariah 12:3 But it will be in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who heave it up will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

Further down in the chapter, we learn that God will go after all the enemies of Israel, something that even Asaph was praying for in Psalm 83.

Zechariah 12:9 And it will be in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

While we still do not have an exact timing for these events, we can say with assurance that the world stage, and certainly the Middle East stage, is being set for these battles. The worldwide irrational and demonic increase in antisemitism is showing us again that we are ever so close to the return of Yeshua of Nazareth. Satan knows that his days are numbered and that he will eventually be thrown into the Lake of Fire after Yeshua has returned.

This time, Yeshua will return as the Lion of Judah and not the sacrificial lamb of God. He will decimate all the enemies of Israel and inaugurate the Millennial kingdom in Jerusalem from where He will reign from the throne of David.

So, while this is not the War of Psalm 83, Gog and Magog, or the Tribulation, the stage is being set, and all the players are in place. Now would be a really good time to examine your heart and make sure that you have made peace with God by trusting the atonement made by Yeshua, the Messiah, on your behalf. When all these events become a reality, while salvation will still be possible, life will be much more complicated.

Only Biblical Zionism Matters, But What Is It Exactly?

There are many different ways to look at Zionism. It can be cultural, political, historical, and even Christian. Yet, the safest way to define Zionism is biblical if, of course, it can be done. If Zionism could be defined biblically, it would supersede all other definitions as long as those looking at that definition would believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God. So, can we truly define Zionism in the Tanach?

Let's first look at the words themselves. The terms “Zionism” and “Zionist” were coined in 1890 by Jewish activist Nathan Birnbaum (1864-1937), who also played an important part in the first Zionist Congress held in 1897 (renamed the World Zionist Organization in 1960) alongside its first president, Theodore Herzl. The word Zion comes from the Hebrew tzion, a reference to Jerusalem and often, by extension, to the Land of Israel itself (first mentioned in II Samuel 5:7.)"Nevertheless, David captured the stronghold of Zion, that is the city of David."According to scholar Mitchell Bard, Zionism is: "The national movement for the return of the Jewish people to their homeland and the resumption of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel."

Many followers of Yeshua look at the Bible and clearly see that God is NOT done with Israel. They see a glorious future for the people and the Land. They understand that the promises of Genesis 12:3 still stand, and they want to be in the center of God’s will by blessing the people that He calls “the apple of [His] eye” (Zechariah 2:8). Believers in Yeshua who recognize Israel’s biblical and historical right to the Land and the Jewish people’s right to return to the Land are often called Christian Zionists. God Himself declared this plan in His Word; thus, Christian Zionism is a noble cause and is part of what every Bible-believing Christian should promote.

Unfortunately for those of us who are Bible-believing, modern-day disciples of Yeshua of Nazareth, the term Christian doesn't help our cause. It has been overused and abused by friends and foes, and its etymology is now quite different from the simple definition it once carried. Not all people called Christians have truly placed their trust in the finished work of Yeshua of Nazareth on their behalf. Additionally, among those who are Christian, not all of them espouse a positive, biblical view of Israel, its land and its people. So, let us forget the term Christian for a moment and move toward a definition of Biblical Zionism.

There is a lot of scriptural evidence validating the claims of Zionism, beginning with the fact that God Himself said that only HE owned the Land in Leviticus 25:23: "The land, moreover, shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are but aliens and sojourners with Me." So, even though it would appear that God gave the title deed for Eretz Yisrael to the Jewish people, He still is the original owner. The following points are all taken from the Jewish Scriptures and they will help us to define biblical Zionism as we start to understand how God sees the whole thing. Since one of the main themes of God's word is Israel, it sheds some light for us, as we can see first from the Torah:

The land belongs to God first and foremost: Leviticus 25:23
God made a covenant with Abraham promising a land, a seed and a blessing: Genesis 12:1-3
The land has specific boundaries yet to be fulfilled: Genesis 15:18-21
• God's covenant was reconfirmed through Isaac, Jacob and his 12 sons: Genesis 26:2-4, 28:13, 50:24
God cares about the land and will bless/discipline Israel for obedience/disobedience: Deuteronomy 11:8-17
The land is promised based on God's character and not Israel's performance: Deuteronomy 7:7-9
God told Israel to conquer the land: Deuteronomy 9:3
Israel's exact boundaries are controlled by God: Deuteronomy 2:3-5, 16:19
The Babylonian captivity didn't annul the oath made by God: Leviticus 26:41

Additionally, the Prophets also tell us of the glorious future of Israel:

• Israel will never be destroyed because of God's promise of eternal protection: Jeremiah 31:35-37
God promised Israel a New Covenant when He will remember their sins no more: Jeremiah 31:31-34
Israel's glorious future includes a final restoration to the land: Ezekiel 39:25-29
Israel's glorious future is secure because of God's character: Ezekiel 36:22-28

I think that the best way to understand Zionism is through a biblical lens. It will be helpful to remember that anytime we study the word of God, we must have a consistent method of interpretation. My preferred hermeneutical method is the literal grammatical/historical approach to the biblical record, making sure we always read a text within its original context. We should never read a biblical text through the eyes of our current culture, but rather, try to navigate through our current culture using a biblical lens.

From the biblical record, starting in Genesis, it can easily be argued that God Himself was the first Zionist. It hasn't changed and never will. Those who fight or reject Zionism are fighting and/or rejecting God. Incidentally, He doesn't want anybody to perish, and He certainly has the same love and compassion for both Jews and Arabs and so should we. Being a Zionist doesn't mean that one is a racist or a colonizer. Not historically, and certainly not biblically. Being a Zionist doesn't mean that one is anti-Palestinian, but sadly, the opposite is seldom true!

A Global Kristallnacht On The Horizon?

Historians agree that Kristallnacht (November 9-10, 1938) was the onset of the Holocaust, shifting Nazi antisemitism from mere rhetoric to pure violence and murder, and setting in motion the death factories aimed at accomplishing “the final solution to the Jewish question.” Kristallnacht, or “The Night of Broken Glass,” was a boycott/pogrom of Jewish synagogues, schools, businesses, and homes, resulting in the death of almost 100 Jewish people and the destruction of 7,500 properties. It was extremely well-planned and anything but a reaction to the death of a German official in France. Historically, Kristallnacht was one somber night that, along with other bloody murders of Jews, led my people to come up with the post-Holocaust motto of "NEVER AGAIN." Unfortunately, antisemitism didn't cease to exist, but it slowly went from taboo to transformed to tolerated to trendy.

October 7, 2023, changed everything not only for Israeli-Arab relations but apparently for Jewish people around the globe. It has come to my attention that Jewish people are currently being identified across the world by different means. Why do we need to be identified? Let us not forget that identification was the first step that led to the Holocaust 80 years ago. Identification (Nuremberg Laws) was followed by separation (ghettos), which was followed by mass transit (cattle cars to the camps), eventually leading to annihilation (gas chambers.) So, when today we hear about Jewish people being identified and/or singled out, we should pay attention. Following are some of the recent events that should really raise a red flag.

Hackers stole Jewish names from the 23andMe website: The popular website that determines ancestry based on a DNA sample was hacked in late 2023. Almost 7 million names were exposed. The company claimed that this was due to poor password management from users. It doesn't really matter what the cause was, but what was concerning was the fact that the hackers offered to sell the names of people with Jewish ancestry for anywhere from $1 to $10 per name.

Blue stars of David were painted on the front of buildings where Jewish people live in France: Not too long after the start of the Gaza War in October 2023, Paris saw several of its buildings identified with blue stenciled stars of David (a clear Jewish symbol.) The buildings turned out to be the residences of Jewish people. This was eerily reminiscent of the painting of the word "Jew" and the large white stars of David painted on Jewish storefronts in Berlin in November of 1938. The purpose, in 1938, was solely to identify Jewish businesses and destroy them through pogroms and boycotts. Should we dare draw a parallel in 2024?

The Doxxing of Jewish Identities in Australia: After some pro-Palestinian individuals maliciously released personal or identifying information about Jewish people without the subject’s permission (known as doxxing), Australia decided to ban the illegal practice. Doxxing is not only used to identify Jewish people, but we can see how it could lead to harm committed against that very community, already targeted by so many people.

Forbidding Jewish people to rent equipment in Switzerland: The town of Davos might be better known for the global meetings of the World Economic Forum, but it is also a popular ski resort in Switzerland. Recently, a poster was affixed on a ski equipment rental shop reading: "The shop would no longer rent gear such as sleds, skis and snowshoes to “our Jewish brothers” after a series of “very annoying incidents” — including the theft of a sled." The poster (written in Hebrew) was removed within 24 hours, with the store owners apologizing for a poor choice of words, but only after they received massive complaints from the Jewish community that the move was purely antisemitic. Truly, the store owners could have easily written a statement stating that anybody not following the rules in their rental agreement would be charged a fee. To single out Jewish "brothers" is both antisemitic and patronizing.

The Boycott, Divestment and Sanction (BDS) movement capitalizes on the Gaza War: The BDS agenda continues to be heavily promoted by pro-Palestinian factions, accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza but completely ignoring the real genocide of 1200 people in Israel by Hamas on October 7, 2023. In their own words, they invite antisemites around the world to "Act Now Against These Companies Profiting from the Genocide of the Palestinian People. This is a complete role reversal...Is anybody paying attention?

I could continue to list all the incidents that have taken place since October 7, 2023, but you get the idea: we are being identified, singled out, delegitimized, and demonized. This is no different than how the stage was set in the 1930s. This is not going to get better for the Jewish people. It can only get worse, but it doesn't have to be hopeless. In a world of bystanders, we can be upstanders. When we stand up against the oldest hatred, we show the Jewish people that there are still people who care and who would do just about anything to be there for their Jewish friends.

Upstanders are going to become a small minority in a sea of bystanders. True, there is power in numbers, but even if we feel isolated or alone in this fight, we must keep fighting on behalf of our Jewish friends. We are fighting a spiritual battle against Satan and his demons who want to destroy the Jews so that they will not be the voice crying to God and saying: "Baruch Haba Bashem Adonai" at the end of the time of Jacob's trouble (Zechariah 12:10, 13:8-9, Matthew 23:37-39.)

Satan is on his final rampage to destroy the Jews and prevent the return of Yeshua. He didn't succeed in preventing the First Coming of the Messiah when He offered Himself as the sacrificial lamb for Israel and the rest of the world. He will not succeed in preventing His return to inaugurate the Millennial Kingdom and reign on the throne of King David from Jerusalem.

Satan always causes casualties, and right now, he is trying to turn the world against the Jews by leading various people to identify and single out Jewish people in various communities around the world. The battle is a spiritual one, but when we are on the side of Israel and love the Jewish people, we are on God's side. Where else would you rather be?
